The Czech New Zealand Business Association (CNZBA) is excited to enter a new chapter. As we evolve, we want to reflect on our journey, embrace our future, and welcome new members into the fold. The formation of our new committee is more than just a structural change; it signals a wave of opportunities and collaborations.
In this blog post, we will explore what our newly revamped committee means for CNZBA, how it plans to include new members, and the vision we hold for years to come.
Meet Our Officers: Leading the Charge
Leading the committee is our President, Gregory Shanahan, who is also the Honorary Consul General of the Czech Republic in Auckland. Gregory brings rich experience in connecting cultures, and his enthusiasm sets a vibrant tone for the association.
Supporting him is an enthusiastic and diverse committee. For instance, Lada Nobilisová, the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic and Chairperson of the Czech and Slovak Club Queenstown, excels at forging community ties while promoting cultural interactions.
Remaining committee members include:
Iva Wright from Codymo Lawyers in Auckland, who brings legal expertise that guides member businesses.
Petr Sudoma representing PSEngineering & Euro Engineers in Hamilton, providing technical insights on engineering projects.
Lukáš Bravenec from Minimal Design in Wanaka, known for his innovative design approaches.
Lucie Baus from Slavic Treasures in Christchurch, has strong connections in the FMCG sector.
Michal Kadlec from Pacific Bio Lubricants in Auckland, who contributes insights on sustainable business practices.
Our committee is prepared to address the diverse needs of our members. A list of contact details to individual members can be found here About | Czech New Zealand Business Association

A Fresh Approach to Membership
A key focus of our committee is to expand our membership base. New members contribute to our diversity and amplify our influence across various sectors.
Current and potential members are encouraged to connect with us in new ways. Whether you own a business aiming to make valuable connections or seek to immerse yourself in the Czech culture in New Zealand, CNZBA has something for everyone.
To support this, we've introduced tailored membership benefits, including:
Access to exclusive networking events.
Educational resources designed to enhance skills and knowledge.
Mentorship opportunities that provide guidance from experienced professionals.
We invite newcomers to engage in these initiatives as they support personal growth and contribute to our collective learning.
Fostering Business Collaborations
Networking lies at the heart of CNZBA's mission. With the new committee, we are set to create business collaborations that can greatly benefit our members. Our approach is rooted in mutual support, aimed at providing opportunities for members to grow and thrive.
We are dedicated to hosting regular networking events, where businesses across various sectors can connect. These gatherings will serve as platforms for sharing ideas and experiences, potentially leading to successful partnerships.
Furthermore, our committee members possess valuable industry knowledge. This insight can be crucial for guiding members through the complexities of conducting business in New Zealand and beyond. We encourage all members to take advantage of this wealth of expertise as they navigate their own business journeys.
Strengthening Cultural Ties
At CNZBA, we value cultural exchange for strengthening community ties. Our new committee is dedicated to foster mutual understanding and appreciation between our cultures.
